Daisy Fuentes recently spoke to USA Today about pilates.
Here’s what she had to say….
When asked how she got into Pilates..
“It was about 15 years ago before it really become trendy. I read an article that (well-known instructor) Mari Winsor had written. It really sounded too good to be true. I just thought any workout that is effective and I can do while laying down I’m signing up for. So I went to check out her studio and I have been a crazy fan ever since.”
When asked how has Pilates helped you personally..
“It helped me realize that there is a difference between just working out and working out to get the results that you want. At the time, I was working out hard and I was going to the gym. Even though I felt fit, I was getting bulky. My muscles were just bulking up. And my jeans and the fashions that I liked, everything just felt tight because my muscles were pretty pumped. And right away as soon as I started doing Pilates, about 2 to 3 weeks into it I could tell that my clothes were already fitting differently. And I felt stronger than ever. My core felt tighter than ever. I was carrying myself differently. People were asking me what I was doing. So I could tell that right away it was making a difference. At that point I was hooked. I think that what kept me hooked is that I got the results that I wanted. I wanted that longer, leaner type of physique. It gave me that. I feel better and I look better.”
Daisy has a new Wii Fit Pilates game out now so be sure to check that out. And to read the full interview with USA Today click here.
